Have you ever been lying in bed, just about to drift off when you open your eyes to see a cockroach staring back at you?
That was me in 1996.
I did not know what to do about this cockroach problem, and that concerned me. Especially because I needed to get to sleep!
I crept out of bed and switched the lights on. I noticed the cockroach scurry away to hide. I had accidentally stumbled upon a way to get a cockroach to disappear, but I needed to get rid of it before getting back into bed!
After 10-15 minutes I had dealt with the cockroach, which met with an unfortunate demise underneath my boots.
It is fair to say that I did not sleep well for the rest of the night! In the most part, this was due to the feeling there were more of them, but also because I left the light on…just in case!
This event sparked a fascination for dealing with pests around, and even outside my home!
From cockroaches, woodlouse, ants, and other crawling pests, to flying pests such as mosquitos, I have searched far and wide for the best ways to combat these critters.
Because I just don’t like them.
